Illegal drugs are a huge problem in our society. Both the Federal and State governments prosecute these cases aggressively. Every Statute which criminalizes drugs calls for jail time. However, we have had tremendous success in resolving these cases favorably for our clients.
We always look for defenses to the case. For example, was there an illegal search? Was there a proper chain of custody in handling the drugs? Were the drugs really what the officer claimed they were? Did our client actually possess the drugs? There are just a few of the defenses to explore.
